Crosshair Press is not currently open to online Fiction/Novel Submissions. However, we will be accepting in-person submissions at the 2017 Realm Makers conference. If you’ll be attending, please see below for our requirements. If not, please check back with us again or watch for our newsletters for an announcement of when we will be open for general submissions again.
Submissions for Realm Makers 2017
Interested in submitting your story to Crosshair Press? That’s awesome! First, as a small press we run things a little differently, so be sure you check out our process. After that, here’s what you need to do:
Step 1) Take a look over at our bookstore and check out what kind of stories we like to publish. Remember, we are readers first. Currently we are interested in genres including action/adventure, romantic comedies, space operas, science fiction, fantasy, urban fantasy, and steampunk.
Step 2) If you think your story fits within our “Crosshairs” (contains a Biblical perspective and an air of adventure), proceed to Step 3.
Step 3) Make an appointment with us at Realm Makers! (Once you’ve registered for the conference, you should receive an email with instructions on how to do so.) Be sure to bring the following to your appointment:
– A 500-word synopsis of your story;
– The first three (No more, please) chapters of your story, double-spaced; if you would like comments emailed to you afterwards, please make sure your story is printed on a single side of the paper, not double-sided.
– We want to know more about you and your writing journey, so please include a short bio for yourself.
NOTE: Things we will NOT accept.
Fan fiction. Plagiarized works. Overtly and unnecessarily gory or graphic content. (Content for our edgier imprint, Steel Rigg, will be edited to fit within our Crosshairs.) Anything typed in Comic Sans font. (Just kidding. Not really.) We reserve the right to refuse any submission.
If you have questions, email us at email@example.com!
